How Do I Ignore a Player?

Want to ignore someone? Click the Messages icon , and visit your Friends List. You’ll see the ‘Ignore’ link, click it to ignore the player. You’ll be asked to confirm your action.

Once you have a player ignored you won’t receive any messages to your Inbox from their character.

If you make up, you can add the player as a friend again (re-add them to your list), and you will be able to receive messages from them again.

How Do I Start a Group/Party with my Friend?

To create a party, first visit your Friends List (click your Messages icon , and click the Friends List link).

View your list of friends and click ‘Party’ beside each of their names. Each friend will receive a message inviting them to join your party. Since you started the party – you are party ‘leader’.

Each friend will either ‘accept’ or ‘decline’ the party invitation. You will receive messages either way.

Once your friends have joined your party, you can use Party Chat to communicate privately to your party members.

As party leader, you will receive all drop items. You can trade items to other players at anytime.

In order to battle together, your party members will need to be in the same building/area as you where you are fighting the monster in order to share in XP/Money when the monster dies.

If a party member is absent from the area when the monster dies, they will not get their share of the xp/money.

To leave your party, click the ‘disband’ link to remove yourself and all your party members. Party members can leave a party in a similar way, by clicking the ‘leave’ link.

How Do I Make a Party (Group)?

To create a party you’ll need to click the Messages icon and click Friends List.

1. To invite a player, click the Create Party link beside their name in your Friends List. They’ll get a message from you. If you’re not on the person’s Friends List – you are now, so they can join. If you are the person requesting others to join, you are the leader. Only the leader can ask others to join a party – else you’re creating separate parties.

2. To join, click the Join link in your Friends List. To decline, click the Decline link – the player who invited you will get a message.

3. Once you’ve joined, the join link turns to a Party link. Click this link to pop a new chat window to chat with the other players in your party.

4. To leave a party, click the Leave link. This only makes you leave a party, everyone else stays. Please don’t drink and drive!

5. To disband your party (only the leader has this option), click the Disband link. This will remove everyone from your party. Get out!

6. You can/should only be in one party at a time.

7. If you are in a party and go street-side (back to the map), all the monsters will be respawned for the party area.

8. XP and gold is divided evenly by the number of players in the party (example: party of 4, for 1000xp, would each get 250 xp).

9. The party leader receives all drop items, so it’s kinda funny to suddenly have 9 horsemint leaves and you didn’t kill any toads…. So be kind and share the goods with your other party members.

10.
It is possible to go off (split up) and fight in different buildings, and STILL be in a party. XP and gold will still be divided for each kill, but only those who are present (in the same room of the same building) at the time the monster dies – will get xp and gold. The leader will catch all your monster drop items – so it isn’t worth it really, unless you feel like giving away stuff and getting half xp/gold.

11. Important: Add yourself to your own Friends List, then if no one joins your party, you can click the Leave link and be able to kill the party instance.

How Do I Send a Personal Message to Another Player

Click the Messages icon  to visit your Inbox. If your friend has already sent you a message, you can click the Reply link beside the message to reply.

To start a new message to a friend, click the Friends List link at the top of the Inbox screen. This will show you 10 friends per page. Click the Send Msg link for the friend you wish to send a message to.

When sending a message, you’ll need to enter a message subject, and message content. HTML is not allowed in messages – please use plain text and standard characters.

If you receive an offensive message, please advise Eliia by sending her a copy of the message.

Players found sending offensive messages will be warned, inflicted with disease, and/or have their accounts terminated. Please play nice 🙂

How Do I Heal?

So you got hurt eh? Took a tumble in battle and need to mend your wounds?

There are a number of ways to heal in Saralidan

1. A Tavern

A Tavern is the most basic way to heal, and takes the most time. In Village Grodo, there is a Tavern called ‘The Rusty Spear’. When you enter the tavern you’ll see it’s a real-time chatroom. So while you’re healing you can connect with other players.

While in a Tavern, you heal 10 points every 30 seconds. So, if your full health is 60 and you’re currently at 26, you need to heal 34 points – that will take you about 2 minutes.

A Tavern is a great place to drop a comment about items you’re looking for, etc – others will visit the Tavern and could send you a PM (private message).

Oh.. and click the ‘refresh’ link in your Inventory window (or wait for your Character panel to refresh) to see your stats increase. When you’re full health again – get back on that horse!

2. Eating Food, Drink Potions, Cast Spells

The real way to heal in Saralidan is by eating food, drinking potions, using magic items or spells to heal yourself while in battle. Having to go back to a Tavern every time you get yourself hurt will take a long time to rack up that experience (XP).

You can make your own food, potions, spells – or buy them from Saralidan Vendors or Merchants.
