How Do I Probe for Traps?

Probing for traps is really pretty simple.

5_005First, you need a trap probe. You can buy the recipe at a vendor and make one. Or you can buy a trap probe from a merchant (if another player is selling one).

I recommend learning to make your own – crafting can come in handy.

When you enter a building and come across containers (door, boxes, crates, gates – you name it), you may need to probe for traps. Even though the container has the line ‘Probe for Traps?’ – you don’t necessarily need to. You could risk it and just open the container… or not.

To use your probe, just click the ‘Probe for Traps?’ link. The screen will update and tell you if you found a trap or not. If the container is trapped, you’ll defuse the trap and gain XP.  If the container is not trapped, you’ll be advised.

Containers can become trapped or untrapped at any time. The ‘World Master’ can decide to trap anything as he wishes 🙂 So always have a trap prove handy.

Traps probes come in a variety of sizes. Basic probes have 10 uses, some have 25, 50 and even 100 uses. Crafted trap probes have better durability.

How Do I Raise My Luck?

So you want to raise your Luck? The Luck skill in the game is used in almost every action. Having Luck skill at it’s highest value possible will ensure you are successful at whatever action you do – be it attacking, crafting, picking locks, probing for traps etc.

You can raise you luck in a number of ways.

Healing your Luck

If your Luck skill has dropped down, you can visit a Tavern to heal it back up. There are also world items like, food, potion and magical items that will raise your Luck skill too.

Increasing your Luck Skill above its Maximum Value

It is possible to raise your Luck skill above its maximum value. The can be done using a armor item. Find, buy or make an armor item and equip it in your inventory. Simply by leaving the armor item in your inventory will automatically raise your Luck skill – if the armor item is set to raise that skill.

Locks, Traps, Crafting and Attacking are all dependent on the Luck skill – so the higher the better.

How Do I Raise My Mind Skill?

So you want to raise your Mind? The Mind skill in the game is used in almost every action. Having Mind skill at it’s highest value possible will ensure you are successful at whatever action you do – be it attacking, crafting, picking locks, probing for traps etc.
